Can you say Yummy
Homemade Peach Butter. Click on the picture for more Home Canning fun as well as the first snow of the year in Boise. The timing worked out well because Concord grapes are best after the first frost. We icked them the weekend after the first frost. We experimented with different types of pectin and combinations of honey/sugar so not all of the jelly set. Let's say we have a whole lot of grape syrup.

A Cruise to be on
Lynn's has been talking about going on a cruise and leaving the 4 boys for our 10th wedding anniversary.
I think I found one. Cayamo. It's a 7 day music cruise with the following artists on board and giving performances: Lyle Lovett, Patti Griffin, Indigo Girls, John Hiatt, Shawn Colvin, Brandi Carlisle, Buddy Miller, Over The Rhine, Tift Merrit, Mindy Smith, and a couple more I've never heard of but I'm sure are gold. I think the cheapest cabin at $999 per person would well be worth it considering you get to see everybody once. The only problem is that it occurs in February 2009 - one year before our tenth anniversary. Oh well, we'll have to see what the 2010 lineup will be.
I've been canning peaches and making grape juice between teaching and working. Yum Yum. We've also managed to get a few small hikes in during the fall weather.
