I can't say enough about how much having the Boise foothills just 15 minutes from our house makes my life. Two weekends ago we went hiking with Lynn's aunt Donna and our neighbor Zach. Cobb Trail #13 was our path. We hiked about 1.5 miles and then had a great picninc at a watering hole with some great shade. Fall is beautiful here.

Click on Isaac to see some great pics of our stomping grounds.

Last weekend I biked from an elevation of 3500 feet to 6100 feet over 5 miles. By far the best biking I've ever done. Hard Guy Trail #33. Again, I love this place.

I think he is sizing the stick up for use as a weapon. What he is going to use the weapon for - he hasn't decided yet.

Poor misunderstood torpedo! He's merely thinking,"Full steam ahead and damn the child!" Nothing zesty, just straight forward evil for life and enjoying fully fearlessly whatever he's doing at the moment. All those evil heads come from the adult thoughts......Get thee closets to thy prayer!

Actually he's probably thinking, "I know what info Dad needs to complete his PhD, if only I had more vocabulary words at my disposal! Hopefully now that I'm two my words will come easier. I was gonna draw the awnser in the sand with this stick but the adults all misunderstood my helpful intentions. I only hope I can learn to talk better while there's still time for me to give Dad that awnser...."

"Sshould n-o-t ha-ave eat-ten th-the la-ast c-cow p-patt-ty."

Oh, puh-leeze, Mom. Look at those eyes. That's not PhD thinking. THat's kid-brother-shifty-eye-thinking, "If I ram this stick into that ant hill over there, can I manage to get out of the way to sit back and laugh while they gobble up Phineas while Gideon tries wearilessly to defend him?"

And did you just put the word "damn" into a sentence you are crediting to your grandson??? I suspect that if that sentence were to come out of Ike's mouth, there would be a comma. As in, "Damn, the torpedoes! I forgot to put them in the truck."

I love that kid.

So I went ahead and changed Nana's comment back to what I thought it was originally before my wife changed it. Did I get it right Cindy?

Oh my gosh. That's even funnier!! Poor misunderstood torpedo. What a great nickname for Ike. The Torpedo. That's gonna be his luchador name. Torpedo Perkins.

Oh, Andy. You and your subtle evil.
