Spirit Of Boise Hot Air Balloon Madness

First, check out Lynn's blog if you haven't already for updates from her. The move is a bit harder for her than for me. The move has taken her away from the friends and family that she has known her whole life. It's not easy for anyone. I feel partly guilty for any sadness on her part or her friends and family. I know the move here was the correct decision for us, but it doesn't ease the pain of moving. We know in time God will bring more new things and friendsfor us here, but it will take time. Kindred spirits in Boise, that is what we want. I know they are out there.

We are on Skype with video capabilities. Skype allows you to call anyone free and with video capabilities. We use a cheap $1 webcam and it works well. The reliability of Skype is better than Yahoo or others we've tried. Email me and I'll let you know our contact name. Let's talk!

Saturday I took Gideon and Isaac early in the morning to see the Spirit of Boise hot air balloon festival. Some thirty ballons took to the air and had a revelry in the sky. It was quite an event and one we are sure to return to each year.

What a wonderful Dad you are to give your boys that unforgettable memory! I wish I'd been there too! As far as 'you' moving your family away -- that's not how I see it. I see the Lord provided you a job so you could provide for our daughter and grandchildren and the job made it necessary to move. This is a growth opportunity and I already see Lynn growing in grace as she makes wise choices in her adjustment. And you're a supportive loving husband. So, ditch the guilt trip! but do make sure you and Lynn stay in the Word together and continue to grow in grace together. We're praying for you.

I like that first pic of Ike. I like the way his open mouth mimics the round balloon and the waffle he's holding. Plus, the waffle is random. It makes me smile.
