First day of work

Wow, life has really changed for us already. A few random highlights.
-We are 5 minutes from malls and all that our material selves could want, but we are also just moments away from great mountains, hiking, views, biking, camping, etc. We've been staying in the hotel that was built where our new house was originally built. It's nice to own a piece of Boise history as it makes me feel coneected to it already.

-I locked us out of our Toyota Sienna rental van today. At the same time I managed to buy a great 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlas Cierra for $650. Only 100k miles on it and it runs fine. Eventually I"m going to get a scooter, but this will get me around reliably for now.

-First day of work tomorroow and I am exhausted and have a pounding headache.

-Bought a GE Profile stove from Lowe's on clearance from $2000 down to $1000. Convection oven, warming spot, all the works. Cook away Lynn!

-Bought a great GE Profile stainless steel fridge. We decided since we have to buy all new things for our kitchen, we will stick with a stainless steel theme.

-Gideon loves the house and keeps saying how happy he is with the yard, his room, and lots of little things. He is such a big helper. Isaac on the other hand is a constant force to be reckoned with. He's not bad, just much more demanding of attention than Gideon.

-Phineas has thrush thanks to the antibiotics Lynn has to be on for her strpe throat.

-Mover's come tomorrow with our stuff and Lynn gets to handle it all alone, along with the three boys. Pray for her.

-Neighborhood kids have introduced themselves and made a bike ramp in our driveway.

-Lynn's aunt Donna is only 2 miles from us. Good to have family nearby. THe boys love Rocky the horse, the chickens, and the dogs.

-I've gotten a wardrobe makeover. We went shopping at the mall for Memorial Day sales and I"m wearing some spiffy Sketchers, new shirts, non-pleated pants, and non-white non-Georgia Tech T-shirts. Lynn was inspired by an episode of "What Not To Wear" and I am wearing stuff I never would have picked out by myself. The college student days are over for me. Maybe I'll post pics.

Thanks for the update! I've been eager for news of how things were going. I was praying for you on your shopping spree. I wish I could be there to help Lynn today, but our Helper is with her and will supply all of her needs (and yours!) Hope you really enjoy your new job and that nasty headache disappears in the night. Even with all it's attached stress, isn't it exciting to have a new job, house and wardrobe! Hope you can find the time to enjoy them.

Its good to hear some news---
We miss you guys. There is an old message from you on our machine, and I just couldn't erase it quite yet. A wee bit sentimental, I know.
Owen saw a big dump truck, and he said it was like GidGid's. Then he shouted something to Gideon at the sky, because all he knows is that Gideon left on an airplane.
Tomorrow is your first day of work, and my last. Good luck...
I wish I could say that if you find any other good deals on cars to let us know:)
Maybe Carly and Phin were kissin' and thats how he got our old friend thrush.

Yeah, I thought I saw those two sneaking out behind the gym. He's paying the price now (and so am I).

Ok, I know Andy probably might look way too spiffy now that he;s got new duds but the '88 cutlass classic! The look on Joel's face was classic as well when I read him the news.

So glad Lynn has a fully functioning stove! YEAH!

I had a little ache when I was driving home from the airport yesterday. Sad you all aren't here to share Josiah's new instruments with him. Even though I am weary of ATL, I will enjoy the things here twice as much for you all too! Even the humidity.

I know Lynn will have stress unpacking, but she'll be able to do it! I believe God will give her more strength now more than ever.

WE LOVE YOU!!
